The Lunenburg-Gilman Community Trust (LGCT) was proud to take part in this year’s Lunenburg Old Home Day, a beloved town tradition that brings together residents and visitors to celebrate community spirit, local history, and small-town charm. Organized by dedicated volunteers and supported by local organizations, the day featured demonstrations, games, food, music, and plenty of opportunities for neighbors to reconnect.

At their booth on the Common, LGCT showcased two large poster boards highlighting the ongoing Gilman Schoolhouse Revitalization Project. One displayed a detailed floor plan of the future community space, inviting visitors to share their ideas for how the building could best serve Lunenburg’s needs. The other featured an architectural rendering of what studio apartments could look like within the historic portion of the building, sparking thoughtful conversation and enthusiasm for the project’s potential.

Old Home Day provided a wonderful opportunity for LGCT to engage with community members, gather feedback, and share updates on their mission to promote revitalization, sustainability, and community connection in Lunenburg and Gilman. Events like this remind us why local collaboration and dialogue are essential to shaping the town’s future—together.
