Gilman Schoolhouse Alumni Project
The Gilman Schoolhouse Alumni Project seeks to reconnect former students, teachers, and community members as part of the effort to revitalize the historic Gilman Schoolhouse into a vibrant, multi-use community space.

The Gilman Schoolhouse Alumni Project celebrates the legacy of one of Lunenburg’s most cherished landmarks. Since the 1920s, the Gilman Schoolhouse has served as both an educational cornerstone for local youth and a gathering place for important town events. As part of the ongoing revitalization effort, the Lunenburg-Gilman Community Trust (LGCT) is working to restore not only the building itself but also the sense of community spirit it once fostered.
Through this project, LGCT aims to assemble a comprehensive list of alumni and teachers who once walked its halls. We invite past students, faculty, and anyone connected to the school to share their memories, stories, and photographs to help capture the building’s rich history and lasting impact.
In addition, LGCT is committed to keeping alumni informed as the revitalization progresses, ensuring that those who knew the school best remain part of its next chapter.
If you were a student or teacher at the Gilman Schoolhouse, or know someone who was, please reach out to us by email at trust@onelunenburg.org with your name, contact information, and the years you attended or taught. Your stories are an important part of preserving the heart and history of the Gilman Schoolhouse for generations to come. Please note that the Trust will not share this information with any other organizations.
